Semiconductor devices made from SiC, which is a third-generation semiconductor core material. SiC has excellent electrical characteristics such as high voltage resistance, high temperature resistance, high frequency, and radiation resistance. They are widely used in new energy vehicles, photovoltaic power generation, rail transit, smart grids, 5G communication and other fields
The excellent characteristics of SiC devices, such as high power density, high frequency and low loss, can not only significantly optimize the efficiency of automotive electric drive system, but also help charging piles and on-board chargers to bear more charging power and greatly shorten the charging time. In addition to the application of main drive inverter and DC charging pile, SiC devices can also be used in on-board charger (OBC), DC-DC converter, BMS relay and air conditioning compressor and the like to comprehensively improve the performance, reliability and stability of new energy vehicles.
The application of SiC devices in wind generators, photovoltaic inverters, and energy storage converters can significantly improve the energy conversion efficiency and reliability of the system, prolong the equipment cycle life, reduce equipment volume and weight, and achieve lower LCOE (levelized cost of energy).
