The 12th European Conference on SiC and Related Materials (ECSCRM 2018) was successfully held from September 2 to September 6, 2018 at the National Exhibition Center, Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK.

The conference presented and discussed the latest technologies and research achievements in the field of wide bandgap semiconductors mainly on SiC in the form of conference report, enterprise forum and thesis report, which include ingot growth theory and experimental research, material performance testing and characterization, the latest progress and breakthroughs related to SiC device manufacturing technology and device applications, as well as current status and future development trends of the SiC semiconductor industry. This conference provides an international platform for experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and investment and financing experts in the field of SiC semiconductors worldwide to exchange, learn, and cooperate with each other. 

A total of 42 exhibitors participated in this conference, including Wolfspeed, II-VI, Dow Corning from the USA, TanKeBlue from China, and Showa Denko from Japan. Among them, SiC substrate exhibitors undoubtedly became the focus of this conference, attracting visits from numerous international SiC semiconductor device and application manufacturers.
